The Winer Lab has started!

Vincent is a recent graduate of George Washington University with a B.S. in Biology and Data Science and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Biotechnology at NYU Tandon. He is interested in combining computational and experimental approaches to better understand immune-cell behavior, mechanics, and signaling, particularly as they relate to disease, infection, and cancer treatment. Outside of the lab, Vincent enjoys playing bass guitar, soccer, and photography.

Lauren recently completed her B.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University with a long term goal of pursuing an MD-PhD. Her research background spans mechanical design in urological robotics to cellular immunology, including work on macrophage phagocytosis at Memorial Sloan Kettering and CARD11 mutations at JHU. Lauren is fascinated by the immune system’s complexity and seeing how she can apply engineering perspectives and quantitative modeling to understand cellular mechanics and signaling pathways. Aside from the lab, she am dedicated to community health outreach and enjoy staying active outdoors.

Eden is a PhD student at the Vilcek Institute of Biomedical Sciences through the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She previously studied the role of dopamine transmission in the ventral striatum as an undergraduate at the University of Connecticut, in addition to exploring ferroptosis as a therapeutic strategy in B-cell cancers as a post-graduate associate at Yale. As a graduate student, Eden is excited to combine her interests in neuroscience and immunology in learning more about the impact of phagocytic innate immune cells on the peripheral nervous system. Outside of lab, she enjoys exploring new restaurants around NYC as well as weightlifting.

Lizzie is a research associate in the Winer Lab. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2025 with a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. While at Michigan, she was a member of the Yan Zhang Lab, studying Anti-CRISPR regions. Outside of the lab, she loves baking, roller coasters, and going to concerts.
